Parish ministry involves frequent written communication to the members of the congregation in the form of newsletters, weekly emails, and special occasion documents. The following are some examples of the materials I prepared for the community of First Church Somerville. They reveal aspects of my personality, my faith, and the joy I feel and bring to my ministry, even in the toughest situations.
The Spiritual Budget was a document prepared for the 2011 Stewardship Campaign. It casts the whole budget in terms of the ministries the church supports, providing the faith-based motivations, meaning, and purpose for every expense. This document was one component of the comprehensive stewardship program developed by Rev. Baskette in prior years.
The 2010 Annual Report includes my Support Pastor's report. This described the challenges and joys of serving the church during the very challenging period of their senior pastor's cancer treatment.
